Harefield Place Golf Club

Harefield Place Golf Club is based at Uxbridge Public Golf Course, which is owned and managed by the London Borough of Hillingdon Council.

​

The course is over 60 years old, and is easily accessible from the M25 & M40 motorways.

​

It is a parkland course, and is a testing, undulating challenge with a par of 69, measuring 5,919 yards from the White Competition tee’s and 5,602 yards from the Yellow general play tee’s.

​

We have in the region of 100 members in mens’ & juniors’ sections, with numerous competitions throughout the entire year.

During this difficult period 5 years after the Gas Pipeline Installation was completed and the far side of the Golf Course affecting 7 Holes not having been reinstated, we are able to play 18 holes by playing holes One thro’ Six twice, the Harefield Place Golf Club Committee and the Ickenham Residents Association have continually fought with the Hillingdon Borough Council to get this work completed, a Sub Committee was set up at H.P.G.C. specifically to achieve this, but without any success whatsoever, despite countless meetings this is still ongoing, the Council now proclaim that because HS2 is going to have access roads across the bottom end of the course from the M40 to the main railway line and possibly area’s set aside for Plant & Materials storage, the work would be wasted and nothing can be resolved until HS2 is completed or rejected.

The only good thing to come out of this, is that green fee’s are at bargain prices, but this does not excuse the blatant waste of public ammenities, denying the public of what used to be the “Jewel in the Crown” of public golf courses in a very wide area of west London and the sacrifice of a Golf Club that used to boast over 500 members.
